The most talked-about movie in Bollywood is none other than ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S” has, without any doubt, lived up to the hype. In this movie, the lovable Munna and Circuit are again seen embarking on new adventures. Surprisingly, the sequel possesses no connection with the first movie and features a new heroine (Vidya Balan) and different storyline. The movie shows the hero Munna (Sanjay Dutt) continuing his ‘bullying’ business successfully. However, he is madly in love with a radio jockey named Jhanvi (Vidya Balan) who thinks Munna is a Professor of History.
Furthermore, Jhanvi even invites him to give a history lecture to her family which gets Munna in even more troubles. This is when his pal, Circuit (Arshad Warsi) comes up with the uncanny idea of going face to face with Mahatma Gandhi. The cast of this film, similar to the predecessor, is simply fantastic. Sanjay Dutt, yet again, gives a knock-out performance teaming up with Arshad Warsi, who fits in perfectly as the ‘side-kick’ character. Vidya Balan, despite lacking in experience, has surpassed everyone’s expectation by delivering a solid performance.
Boman Irani may not be the wicked doctor this time, but he successfully portrayed a person who wrongfully seeks to seize a mansion. It is always a very challenging task to act in the role of a great man like Mahatma Gandhi but Dilip Prabhavalkar pulled it off adeply. The best thing about Lage Raho Munnabhai’ is the fact that the movie not only entertains, but it also sends a heart-warming message that makes one recall his roots.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani have definately outdone themselves making this hilarious bollywood hindi film.
